Colle Stefano Rosato 2018

After finishing oenology school in Ancona just a few years ago, Fabio Marchionni returned home to take over his family’s vineyards, located in the heart of the Marche. Yields are kept extremely low, with an emphasis on fruit-forwardness and preservation of natural acidity. His rosato is an organic Sangiovese dominant blend, macerated with skins for eight hours and fermented in steel. Crisp, clean, and exactly what you want to drink on the beach!

Italy’s most-planted red and one of its noblest: a Tuscan icon (Chianti Classico; Brunello) that wanders through many regions. Crisp cherry-scented with a woodsy savor; Italy’s answer to Pinot Noir.

Marche, Italy

Under-appreciated, lightly touristed Adriatic region of Italy whose whites from Verdicchio have seriously transcended their image as pizza-parlor chuggers in fish-shaped bottles. Yummy reds too!
