Alberto Nanclares y Prieto Rias Baixas Albarino 'Soverribas' 2017

Alberto Nanclares creates some of the most age-worthy, saline-tinged wines in all of Galicia, cultivating all vines organically and with some biodynamic principles. Fruit for ‘Soverribas’ comes from 30-year-old west-facing vines rooted in granite and clay soils. Juice ferments naturally and ages on its lees in old French oak, creating a textured, serious, and super thirst-quenching bottle. Pair with fish tacos or fresh salads!

Wine Type

Specialty of Galicia (and Portugal where it’s “Alvarinho”) grown in granitic soils on the Atlantic coast. Its wines are racy mix of stone fruits and sea spray that cry out for salt-baked whole fish.
