Chateau Fourcas Dupre Listrac-Medoc 'Hautes Terres' 2015

Founded in 1844, Château Fourcas Dupré has been a longtime staple in Listrac-Médoc, producing quality, affordable red blends from Bordeaux’s Left Bank. This unique Merlot dominant blend (most Left Bankers are Cab dominant) is hand-picked and fermented with native yeast in concrete, aged one year in tank and wood. The final wine shows flavors of ripe cherries, black tea, herbs, and tobacco. An affordable classic!

Merlot

Deliciously zaftig Bordeaux grape that shed its second-banana-to-Cabernet Sauvignon status to become a star in its own right. Early-ripening softly textured yet often very serious (see: POMEROL).

Bordeaux, France

France's Gironde River estuary and its most prolific wine zone. Aristocratic reds from 'the Cabernets' and Merlot are complemented by a smaller number of whites both dry and sweet (Sauternes).
