Jean Foillard Beaujolais Villages 2017

Jean Foillard is a legendary pioneer of the natural wine movement, farming fourteen hectares with a ‘non-interventionist’ mentality in the heart of Morgon. This organic varietal Gamay come from Foillard’s 7 hectares of vines rooted in granitic soils, creating a silky smooth wine full of rose petal, red fruit, and crunchy wet stone flavors. This wine is a stellar example of ‘reflective of the place from which it comes!’

Wine Type

The purplish grapey red of Beaujolais lately taken more seriously as a wine that punches above its weight. Perfectly fruity and yet in certain villages imbued with a stony mineral core.
