Chateau Montelena Chardonnay Napa Valley 2016

Chateau Montelena is one of Napa Valley’s most iconic and historically important wineries. Founded in Calistoga in 1882, the winery helped put American wine on the map, beating out a slew of French Chardonnays during the 1976 Judgement of Paris. The 2016 Chardonnay shows notes of honeysuckle and apple, with warming undertones of vanilla meshing perfectly with the wine’s citrus-driven acidity. Weighty yet balanced, with a lasting finish.
