Albert Boxler Alsace Riesling 'Eckberg - Sommerberg Grand Cru' 2016
The Boxler family’s Alsatian roots date back to 1673, producing some of the region’s most serious white wines. The estate’s vineyards create soil-specific bottles based on distinct single-vineyard sites. ‘Eckberg’ comes from 45 year old vines rooted in stony soils, giving way to a flinty, concentrated wine, full of orchard fruit, citrus, mineral, and herbal flavors, showing a serious sense of place. Sophisticated & rich-- will age for 10+ years.
