Chacra Pinot Noir 'Cincuenta y Cinco' Patagonia 2017

Founded in 2004 by Piero Incisa, Chacra’s mission is to express the unique microclimates of Rio Negro using organic farming and biodynamic principles to create clean, pure wines. ‘Cincuenta y Cinco’ comes from 60+ year old vines, giving way to a vibrant, earth-driven wine, full of vivacious acidity and soil inspired notes of red berries, forest floor, and mushroom. Pair with game, grilled veggies, and red meats.

Wine Type

Pinot Noir

Eloquent dynamic charmer of wine drinkers. Thin-skinned early-ripening seducer of wine growers. Planted everywhere but great in only a few (cool-climate) spots including its homeland of Burgundy.

Patagonia, Argentina

Like Mendoza, this super-remote Argentine wine zone is a high desert, just not as high as Mendoza. Windy and cool, it produces Pinot Noir (along with Malbec) of great balance and energy.
