Antoine Arena Patrimonio Rose 2013

There aren’t as many farmers on the island of Corsica as passionate as the Arena family. The domaine is currently operated by Antoine’s two sons, who seek to carry on their father’s passion for organically farmed fruit and sulfur-free wines. The 2013 Patrimonio rosé is an 80/20 Niellucciu-Vermentino blend, showing notes of bright strawberry & tart stone fruit; full-bodied and rich, with a strong mineral presence. A serious rosé-- great with food!

Corsica, France

Increasingly popular source of wild, herbaceous Franco-Italian wine mashups from unpronounceable local grapes such as Sciacarello. Great wines from Vermentino and Grenache à la nearby Sardinia.
