Chateau Rayas Chateauneuf-du-Pape Reserve 2008

Synonymous with Rhone royalty, Chateau Rayas has been dominating the rare sandy soils of Chateauneuf-du-Pape since the late 19th century. Rayas’ Grenache produce some of the most exotic, floral-driven expressions in all of the Southern Rhone. The 2008 ‘Reserve’ is much lighter than usual, showing refined flavors of red fruit, herbs, and licorice. Savory and spicy, this delicious wine finishes long, showing impressive complexity.
