Pierre Gonon Saint-Joseph 2012

Considered one of the most important producers in all of Saint-Joseph, Pierre Gonon’s wines have made a way for non-interventionist farming in the appellation. Traditional ferments in open oak vats with foot punch-downs are still implemented, with final wines remaining juicy and full. The 2012 Saint-Joseph is concentrated and peppery, noted with dark berry and floral notes; spicy and fresh, with gritty, integrated tannins.

Rhone Valley, France

Originating in the Swiss Alps and emptying into the Mediterranean, the Rhône sculpted some of France's most fabled terroirs, from Condrieu and Côte Rôtie up north to Châteauneuf-du-Pape down south.
