Vietti Barolo Riserva 'Villero' 2009

Known for powerhouse Nebbiolo, single-vineyard bottlings, and pioneering of the Arneis grape variety, Vietti has been a staple in Piedmont since the 19th century. ‘Villero’ is a 0.9 hectare vineyard with southwest facing exposure, located in Castiglione Falletto. Vines average 37 years in age, giving concentrated, aromatic fruit. The 2009 vintage is outstanding; structured, supple, and wildly balanced, with pronounced aromatics and a firm palate.
