Founded in the mid-19th century in the heart of Verduno, Burlotto’s vines are dedicated to indigenous Piemontese varieties, including Barbera, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and Freisa, known for precision and elegance. The 2016 ‘Aves’ is more powerful than the entry-level Barbera, full of ripe, dark berry flavors, with undertones of licorice and pepper. Structured and dark, the wine is awesome with pizza or tacos.
