Larkmead Cabernet Sauvignon 'The Lark' Napa Valley 2013
Founded in 1895, Larkmead is one of the longest standing, family-owned estates in Napa. The estate’s 45 hectares sit on a combination of gravelly, clay, and loam soils, with winemaker Dan Petroski seeking to bring out the complexity and diversity of each specific vineyard site. The 2013 ‘Lark’ oozes with rich notes of dark berries, chocolate, and cedar; will age for 40+ years. Only 268 cases produced. Napa lovers, be sure to grab one!
Loamy-soiled, north-south valley reaching from the hot springs of Calistoga to the San Francisco Bay. It’s home to world-beating Cabernet Sauvignon, among other wines, and the American answer to Bordeaux.
