Clos de la Roilette Fleurie 'Cuvee Tardive' 2016

Rather than signifying ‘late harvest,’ cuvée tardive at Clos de la Roilette comes from some of the domaine’s oldest parcel of vines. Brimming with structure and complexity, full of dark cherry and smoky floral notes, the wine is on the fuller side for Fleurie, showing exuberant balance. Lay down and age for the next 5 -15 years.

Wine Type

The purplish grapey red of Beaujolais lately taken more seriously as a wine that punches above its weight. Perfectly fruity and yet in certain villages imbued with a stony mineral core.
