Fontodi Chianti Classico Riserva 'Vigna del Sorbo' Gran Selezione 2006

Located in Tuscany’s ‘Conca d’Oro,’ in the heart of Chianti, the Fontodi estate comprises 130 hectares, 70 of which are dedicated to organically farmed vines. The Manetti family has been dedicated to sustainable farming since 1968, benefiting from high-altitudes and large diurnal swings. The 2006 ‘Vigna del Sorbo’ is a knockout, oozing with flavors or dark berries and cloves, graphite & licorice, with integrated tannins. Will age for decades!

Italy’s most-planted red and one of its noblest: a Tuscan icon (Chianti Classico; Brunello) that wanders through many regions. Crisp cherry-scented with a woodsy savor; Italy’s answer to Pinot Noir.
