Founded in 1967, Montevertine sits in the heart of Chianti Classico, soaring at elevations of 425 meters. Comprised of 18 hectares, divided into 9 parcels, most of which are dedicated to Sangiovese. Fermented 25 days in cement, moved by gravity, and unfiltered. The 2007 is medium-bodied and silky, with well-integrated tannins and a juicy palate. Aromatic and vibrant, the wine is drinking beautifully, but will develop over the next ten years.
