Founded in 1967, Montevertine sits right in the heart of Chianti Classico, soaring at elevations of 425 meters. The estate comprises 18 hectares, divided into nine parcels, most of which are dedicated to Sangiovese. Fermentation lasts 25 days in cement, moved by gravity, and bottled unfiltered. The 2006 vintage is elegant and textured, noted with flavors of juicy red fruit and flowers. Pure and precise; will age for another 8+ years.
