With 19 hectares across Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga, an emphasis on soils, microclimates, and terroir are the focus of Brovia’s cuvées. Grapes are organically farmed, lightly crushed, and classically vinified, with a focus on indigenous Piemontese varieties. The 2010 ‘Garblet Sue’ is energetic and lively, full of black fruit and mineral flavors. Aromatic and bright, with supple tannins and good tension.
This tartly tannic, headily fragrant, beguilingly complex king of Italian red grapes is brimming with bright fruit and earthy funk -- in versions ranging from explosive (Barolo) to ethereal (Valtellina).
