Le Petit Saint Vincent Saumur Champigny 2016

Fourth generation Dominique Joseph farms his 13 hectare family estate all organically, located in the heart of Varrains. Vines are situated on rolling hills of clay and limestone soils, layered over tuffeau bedrock. No herbicides are used; wines are produced as naturally as possible. The 2016 Saumur Champigny is dry & structured, showing notes of raspberry and spice. Fine tannins and a fresh finish make this wine an absolute pleasure to drink.

Cabernet Franc

In Bordeaux Franc is the eccentric middle child between #1 Son Cabernet Sauvignon and cute baby-of-the-family Merlot. In the Loire (Chinon & Bourgueil) it is proudly itself: savory earthy herbal.
