Located four short kilometers from the village of Ampuis, Domaine Jamet sits on the esteemed ‘Le Vallin’ plateau, producing deep, succulent Syrah under the family name since 1976. Jean-Paul Jamet is a big supporter of traditional techniques, including majority whole-cluster fermentation, vinification in stainless steel, and aging in large oak casks. The Cotes du Rhone bottling is uniquely varietal Syrah, oozing with savory, spicy notes of ripe berries and earth. Basically a baby Cote-Rotie at a much more affordable price.
