Fruit for By Farr Shiraz comes from its namesake vineyard, planted nearly 25 years ago. Volcanic soils and north-facing vines produce plump, healthy fruit, which is hand picked and partially whole clustered, minimally co-fermented with Viognier, followed by 18 months of elevage in French oak. The wine is spicy and pepper-driven, with juicy fruit and well-integrated tannins making the wine easy and elegant; perfect with savory stews and grilled meats.
