Terrassen Cabernet Franc Finger Lakes 2016

Though Cab Franc usually finds its home in France, the Finger Lakes is certainly giving the country a run for its money. Terrassen’s bottling is slightly riper than its French counterparts, maintaining a palate of juicy berries, pepper, and herbs. Tannins are well-integrated, with a brilliant acidity. Loire Valley lovers, give this a try.

Wine Type

Cabernet Franc

In Bordeaux Franc is the eccentric middle child between #1 Son Cabernet Sauvignon and cute baby-of-the-family Merlot. In the Loire (Chinon & Bourgueil) it is proudly itself: savory earthy herbal.
