The Suriol family has lived in Penedes since the 1400s, producing organic Cava with indigenous varieties, native yeasts, and a hands-off mentality. Wines are always dated with a vintage, full of complex layers and textured, bready fruit flavors. The 2013 is deliciously refreshing, with notes of brioche, honey, and citrus fruit-- a perfect aperitif, especially when served with salty Marcona almonds!
