Goyo Garcia Ribera del Duero Tinto 'Joven de Vinas Viejas' 2016

Unlike many of Spain’s overripe and over-manipulated Tempranillos, Goya Garcia’s ‘Joven de Vinas Viejas’ is juicy and fresh, with refreshing dark fruit flavors and earthy undertones. Versatile and succulent, the wine is gorgeous with dark meat, seasoned potatoes, and roasted vegetables.

Spain’s dark and powerful headliner in Rioja, Ribera del Duero and further afield. More force than finesse and somewhat tricky to pin down aromatically it is appealingly silky and low in acid.

One of the 'big three' European wine giants along with France and Italy, but perhaps the one with the most untapped potential, with many ascendant regions and producers just now finding an audience.
