Fruit for ‘Fontalloro’ comes from some of the estate’s higher elevated vineyards, providing optimal irrigation and sunlight for healthy fruit. In the glass, the wine shows a gorgeous ruby pigment, with aromas of spicy tobacco and earthy red fruit dominating the nose. Well integrated tannins make the wine incredibly smooth, with secondary characteristics beginning to show through after five years. A no brainer for Sangiovese aficionados.
