Walter Scott Pinot Noir 'La Combe Verte' Willamette Valley 2016

‘La Combe Verte,’ meaning The Green Valley, pays tribute to the gorgeous parcel of land in the Willamette Valley where Walter Scott wines gets their fruit. The wine is 15% whole cluster fermented, then spends 10 months aging in 30% new oak barrels. Structured and bright, the wine oozes with notes of cherry and spice, with a vibrant backbone of acidity.

Pinot Noir

Eloquent dynamic charmer of wine drinkers. Thin-skinned early-ripening seducer of wine growers. Planted everywhere but great in only a few (cool-climate) spots including its homeland of Burgundy.

Oregon, United States

Just southwest of Portland is some of the world's greatest Pinot Noir, planted in sedimentary soils left by the Missoula Floods, cooled by Pacific air sneaking through gaps in the Cascades.
