Clos de l'Elu VDP de Loire 'Indigene' 2014

With 22 hectares over 30 plots in Anjou-Saumur, Clos d’Elu has eliminated all chemicals from the vineyards, experimenting with biodynamics and holding true to indigenous Loire varieties. This Gamay, Grolleau, and Cabernet Franc blend is spicy and light, brimming with tart red fruit and zippy acidity. Delicious with a slight chill.

The purplish grapey red of Beaujolais lately taken more seriously as a wine that punches above its weight. Perfectly fruity and yet in certain villages imbued with a stony mineral core.
