Pure passion for the Sta. Rita Hills area is what fueled the Wenzlau family to purchase 100 acres of land in this viticultural haven. Their ‘Estate’ Chardonnay is grown on clay limestone soils in an ocean facing vineyard, with biodynamic principles introduced in the vineyard. Regular Pacific breezes keep acidity high and bright, adding a refreshing saline characteristic to the wine. Aged in partially new French oak for 16 months; only 233 cases made.
