Stolpman Vineyards 'Combe' Trousseau Ballard Canyon 2016

Located 15 miles off the Pacific Coast, Stolpman Vineyards is situated in Ballard Canyon, benefiting from various microclimates and large diurnal temperature swings. Vines were planted in 1992, with plantings covering nearly 50 hectares. The 2016 ‘Combe’ Trousseau is silky and aromatic, with fruit grown on cool limestone sites. Low tannins and easy-drinking nature make the wine a perfect match for salmon, chicken dishes, or fish tacos.

Another red-skinned native of France’s Jura this one a little darker and more sauvage than the featherweight Poulsard. Check out the woodsy reds of the Arbois appellation in particular.

The ultimate in sunny, borderline tropical Southern California, yet influenced enough by Pacific Ocean fogs to provide cool-enough conditions for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, its twin wine beacons.
