Giacomo Conterno Barolo 'Cerretta' 2012

Back in 2008, Robert Conterno purchased two hectares of Nebbiolo vines in Serralunga’s renowned Cerretta cru, adding this gorgeous cuvée to the estate’s line up of world class wines. Over the last decade, demand for this small-production cuvée has skyrocketed, and it’s no surprise why. The 2012 vintage might just be the most pure and aromatic vintage of this cuvée yet, with layers of refined, floral aromas and leathery, licorice-tinged flavor profile. Powerful yet refined, the wine’s harmony between fruit, spice, and earthy soil collide gorgeously in this amazingly precise cuvée.
